![]() ![]() In the Safe Shallows you can find Acid Mushrooms, Quartz, Limestone Outcrops that can be broken for Copper Ore or Titanium and Sandstone Outcrops that can be broken for Gold, Lead or Silver Ore. The Safe Shallows is more or less in the center of the map and the crater where the game takes place extends out to almost 2km in all directions. These are all fairly safe to explore but you will eventually want to find a way to travel faster and deeper underwater. The biomes around the Safe Shallows are the Kelp Forest and Grassy Plateaus. For now you’ll need to keep your distance until you’re able to craft a Radiation Suit. If you get too close to it you’ll start taking radiation damage. Your lifepod will spawn somewhere in the Safe Shallows but the exact location will be different every time. If you’re looking for the sequel check out the Subnautica: Below Zero walkthrough here. They may hold the key to getting off this planet. Mysterious structures can be seen dotted around the crater. You have all the building blocks, you just need to choose the layout and components.Īs you explore more you’ll discover something is not quite right on the planet. Once you’ve crafted a habitat builder you’ll be able to start constructing your own base. Eventually you’ll build more advanced stations so you can craft more complex items and even underwater vehicles. The lifepod is equipped with a fabricator that will let you craft most of the basic items, as long as you have the raw materials. You’ll explore vast underwater landscapes as you search for supplies and a way to get off the planet. After your ship, the Aurora, crash lands on the planet you’ll find yourself stranded on an ocean world with only a small lifepod. Saving While in your Seamoth can count as being in your Seamoth and not in it at the same time, and will cause drown and physical dmg on game load as well.Subnautica is an underwater survival game on an ancient alien planet. The Seamoth has only one issue in common. Just don't be IN your Prawn when you do it. So if you don't see any issues happening with you or your Prawn and you are not in an Alien Base or land with your Prawn, then it's probably safe to save your game during that time. The upside, is these issues are noticeable right away. Even getting close can cause the walk on ocean floor glitch.Īnother tactic to try and save your Prawn is to try the Jet Boosters or Grappling Arms. Can't reach storage or upgrades.Īlways save outside your Prawn right before you get near an Alien Base. ![]() *The Prawn staying standing when exiting. *Passing a water to land border without going through. *Getting stuck in the floor going through a portal with the Prawn. *Being in your Prawn and not in it at the same time during a game load. *Falling through the floor in your Prawn. Make a habit to exit your Prawn or Seamoth before each save, then you can go back in. Always Back-Up your save before each session. There are a ton of issues when bringing the Prawn into alien bases, or through portals, or saving while in it. Most are either extremely difficult to fix, or impossible too after saving once or twice during them. You've ran into several glitches caused by the Prawn Suit with/and Alien Bases. Here is a post I made recently about this issue: Never save while in your Prawn, especially while it's moving.īecause of the last update there are now many issues with the Prawn suit and/with Alien Bases. Never bring your Prawn into an Alien Base. Get in the habit of exiting your Prawn & Seamoth right before any manual save. When you exit your Prawn it should stop both you and Your Prawn from falling through the floor when they land. ![]() You will fall and take some damage and your Prawn will go flying and land. You can fix this issue by exiting the Prawn right after loading. Here is a post I put together in another thread. ![]()
